Our launch event was the first step in bringing together the profession to forge a new future for UK audit and assurance
Launch event – March 2025
The CPIA launch brought together over 160 senior leaders from across the corporate reporting and audit system, including regulators, policy makers, CEOs, Audit Committee Chairs, auditors, investors, professional bodies and commentators. This was an opportunity to learn more about our objectives and ambition to help shape the future of the profession and create momentum for meaningful change.
Through the keynotes and panels we had wide ranging discussions and shared diverse perspectives around central themes of growth and regulation, the value of reform, and the UK as a leading destination for capital. We considered some of the near term debates on the definition of Public Interest Entities, the opportunity to raise “amber flags” and accountability of directors and auditors. We also looked ahead to the future of the profession and how audit provides trust in times of uncertainty.
This event marks the start of the CPIA’s work to support focused and forward-looking engagement on the most important topics that underpin the value of audit.
